     The Nacogdoches County Commissioners Court will convene in a REGULAR MEETING on the 10th day of May, 2011 at 9:00 a.m. in the Commissioners Courtroom, Suite 170, on the 1st floor of the South Wing ofthe Nacogdoches County Courthouse, 101 W. Main Street, Nacogdoches, Texas.

Obituary: Earl W. Bradford

     Earl W. Bradford, 83, passed away on Sunday, May, 8, 2011 at Nacogdoches Medical Center. He was born on February 18, 1928 in Marshall, Texas to John Robert and Leila Solomon Bradford.

     A funeral service will take place on Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at 10 am at Calvary Baptist Church located at 3732 NE Stallings Dr., Nacogdoches, Texas, with Rev. Paul Sevar officiating. A private family graveside will take place at Sunset Memorial Park in Nacogdoches. Friends are invited to a visitation on Tuesday, May 10, 2011 from 5-7pm at Cason Monk-Metcalf Funeral Directors, located at 5400 North Street in Nacogdoches.

     Funeral arrangements are under the direction and care of Cason Monk-Metcalf Funeral Directors.

Obituary: Hollis Rudd

Hollis Rudd

     Hollis Rudd, 89, of Martinsville, passed away on Friday, May 6, 2011 in Nacogdoches. Mr. Rudd was born on November 3, 1921 in Shelby County, Texas the son of Joseph Carlton Rudd and Addie Forbis Rudd. Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 9, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Martinsville Baptist Church with Bro. Dee Daniel officiating. Interment will follow at Martinsville Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service also at the church.

     Pallbearers for Mr. Rudd will be his Grandsons.

     Hollis was a truck driver for many years, earning many awards, one of which was for driving over 2,000,000 miles without an accident. After retirement from driving he was a local business man in Nacogdoches for many years.

     The family would like to thank Dr. Pokala and his staff, the IMC staff at Memorial Hospital of Nacogdoches and the staff and hospice workers at Willowbrook for their tender loving care of Hollis during these past few weeks.

     Hollis is survived by his daughter: LaJuan Cahal and her husband Tommy Cahal; Son: James Hollis Rudd and his wife Catherine Rudd; and daughter: Teresa Rudd Touchette; by his grandchildren: Les Cahal, Dave Cahal, Brennan Rudd, Katrina Hennigan, Angela Henderson, and Andrew Touchette; by 7 great-grandchildren, with one on the way in August; by his brother: Wayne Rudd and sisters: Adelle Chandler, Anne Green and Marie Green. He is also survived by a host of other extended family and close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents: Carl and Addie Rudd; wife of 30 years: Elizabeth Neill Rudd; daughter: Elizabeth Ann Rudd Church; grandson: Richard Andrew Church and by his sister: Alma Martin.

     In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in his name to the Martinsville Baptist Church or to the Martinsville Cemetery. To convey condolences or to sign an online register please visit www.lairdfh.net.

     The family of Hollis Rudd is being served by Laird Funeral Home of Nacogdoches.

PUBLIC HEARING: Consider establishment of “Commercial-Industrial Reinvestment Zone #27” (Mast Powertrain) for the City of Nacogdoches” for tax abatement pursuant to the Property Redevelopment and Tax Abatement Act of 1981, Article 1066f. Said Zone #27 shall be that area described as Lot 15-A-3, City Block 66 located at 330 Northwest Stallings Drive, Nacogdoches, Nacogdoches County, Texas. (Planning)

7. Consider allowing overnight “camping” in Festival Plaza for the cook teams that are part of the annual Juneteenth Celebration per section 86-27 of the Nacogdoches Code of Ordinances. (Main Street Manager)
