Three juveniles have been taken into custody Friday morning for burglary charges. Sheriff Jason Bridges stated that the Sheriff Office took a report of a burglary that occurred at Thralls Convenience store located on highway 21 E. The burglary occurred on early Tuesday morning. Video surveillance from the store captured the photograph of three suspects. Those pictures were released to the media and social media web sites on Thursday.
The Sheriff Office received several leads in the case after the pictures were released. Sheriff Bridges stated that a Deputy at the Sheriff Office was able to identify a ball cap that one of the suspects was wearing that belonged to a local baseball team. The deputy was able to identify one of the suspects through the baseball cap and photograph.
On Friday morning, investigators spoke with one of the suspects at school. Sheriff Investigators were then able to identify all three suspects who also gave confessions to the crime. Sheriff Investigators were also able recover some of the property that had been stolen from the store.
All three suspects are male juveniles between the ages of 13 to 15 years of age. All suspects have been charged with burglary of a building a state jail felony. The suspects have been arrested and transported to the Greg County Juvenile Detention Center.

Tickets are still available for the Chris Young and Big Joe Walker concert, presented by the Stephen F. Austin State University Student Activities Association, beginning at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 9, in the William R. Johnson Coliseum on the SFA campus.
Young, a 29-year-old RCA Records country singer, was the 2006 winner of the reality music show “Nashville Star.” Young’s current hit single, “Who I Am With You,” reached number one atop the Mediabase Country Singles Chart, as well as claiming the number one spot in Rolling Stone’s poll of Best Country Songs of 2014 So Far. The award-winning singer-songwriter also has claimed six additional number one singles in country music.
Also performing will be SFA alumnus and Dallas singer-songwriter Big Joe Walker. Known for his Texas Country style of singing and playing, Walker’s music embraces every element from country to gospel, and his recently-released single, “Friday Nights in Texas,” just spent nine weeks on the Texas Music Chart. Aside from touring, Walker also reaches fans through his radio show held every weekday from 9 to 11 a.m. on Texas Red Hot Radio.
Attendees are asked to park in SFA’s commuter lot, located north of the coliseum. Tickets range from $20 to $30 and can be bought at the door the night of the concert.

The SFA Wind Ensemble will feature music faculty member Brad Meyer as soloist in the ensemble’s fist concert of the year, slated for 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 14, in W.M. Turner Auditorium on the Stephen F. Austin State University campus.
Meyer will perform “Concerto No. 2 for Marimba and Wind Ensemble” by American composer David Gillingham.
“This piece shows off the variety of sounds a marimba can make, from lyrical to technical,” said Fred J. Allen, director of bands at SFA and the ensemble’s conductor.
“I am extremely honored that Mr. Allen chose me to perform Gillingham’s ‘Concerto No. 2’ with the SFA Wind Ensemble,” Meyer said. “It has been a pleasure to work alongside Mr. Allen and all the talented musicians. The students have worked extremely hard to put together this colorful and expressive composition. I am certain the performance will be exciting and entertaining for every age of audience member.”
Opening the concert will be “Celebration Fanfare” by American composer Kevin Walczyk, who will visit the campus the following week to interact with SFA music students.
The second half of the program features music from German composers, beginning with “Huldigungsmarsch” by Richard Wagner, written for band in 1864. The

Brad Meyer, director of percussion studies at SFA, will perform as soloist with the SFA Wind Ensemble when the ensemble performs at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 14, in Turner Auditorium on the university campus.
“This is a mammoth composition,” Allen said. “It is full of interesting compositional techniques while still being very listenable.”

) Two women are in the Nacogdoches County Jail on felony drug charges after a traffic stop this morning on the Northwest Loop in Nacogdoches.
Nacogdoches Police officers stopped at 2007 Dodge Caravan driven by Lisa Ann Rivera, age 47 of Houston, in the 3700 block of Northwest Stallings Drive (Loop 224) for an expired motor vehicle inspection sticker.
Officers received consent to search the vehicle and officers located a modified 48 quart cooler that contained approximately four (4) pounds of powder cocaine in the vehicle.
Rivera was arrested along with a passenger, Pamela Odell Whited, age 44 of Madisonville. Both were taken to the Nacogdoches County Jail.
The street value of the cocaine is estimated to be over $175,000.00.
