     A funeral service for Willie Jo Clark, 88, will be held at 1pm on Wednesday, January 19, 2011, at Laird Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Rev. Crispen Bradsher. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park in Nacogdoches.

     Visitation will be from 5pm to 7pm on Tuesday, January 18, 2011, at Laird Funeral Home.

     Willie Jo died January 16, 2011, in Nacogdoches.

     She was born September 11, 1922, in Nacogdoches, Texas to Will and Edna Feazell. Willie Jo married Wilsie Clark on August 1, 1942. She attended Nacogdoches Schools and went on to attend and graduate from SFA Demonstration School. She and Wilsie owned and operated Clark’s Meat Service (B & C Packing) over 50 years. She also served with her husband for many years by volunteering in her church and serving with the Women’s Auxillary of the Gideons. She attended Oak Grove Baptist Church until her health failed her. She will be dearly missed.

     Survivors include her daughters, Judy Rouner and husband, Robert, and Carol “Cricket” Maclin and her husband, C. G; son, Mark Clark and his wife, Diana; son-in-law, Frank Howard; grandchildren Ashley Rouner, Marlo and Justin Carroll, Liz and Brad Flurry, Jennifer Maclin, Westley Clark, Whitney Clark, Mikel Howard, and Phyllis Howard Nobles; great grandchildren Aaron, Jonathan, Rachel, Lauren, Kayla, Austin, Hunter, and Drew, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Wilsie Clark; sisters, Merline Burk, Martha Jones; and daughter, Kathie Jo Howard.

     Pallbearers will be Frank Howard, C G Maclin, Westley Clark, James Covington, Jimmy Hale, and Jack Gardner.

     Monetary donations may be made to The Gideons International, Nacogdoches Camp, PO Box 630453, Nacogdoches, Texas 75963-0453, or to the Missions Projects Fund at Oak Grove Baptist Church, 2603 SE Stallings Drive, Nacogdoches, Texas 75961 in her memory.

     Her children would like to give a special thanks to the many caregivers that gave such sweet and loving attention to their Mom during her last days. With grateful hearts they especially thank Sharon Yates as she attended to both their Mom and Dad in the last couple of years.
