Press Release: Shreveport man is in jail after found being in possession of 145 grams of cocaine

A Shreveport man is in jail after found being in possession of 145 grams of cocaine yesterday afternoon. A deputy with the Nacogdoches County Sheriff Office conducted a traffic stop on a passenger vehicle for a traffic violation on highway 59 north.

The driver and lone occupant of the vehicle was very nervous. During the traffic stop the Deputy conducted a pat down of the subject for officer safety. The officer felt a large amount of narcotics hidden on the driver’s body.

The suspect was identified as Stacy Bernard Garr 42 years of age from Shreveport, La. Garr stated to deputies that he was getting paid to transport the cocaine to Shreveport. Garr was arrested at the scene and booked into the Nacogdoches County Jail for Possession of a Controlled Substance a 2nd felony.
