Mrs. Barbara Ann “Bobbie” Scott, age 79, passed away on Friday, January 10, 2014 at Nacogdoches Medical Center. She was born on November 20, 1934 to parents Grover Cleveland Hall and Laura Hurst Hall of Melrose, Texas.
Funeral services will be held at Cason Monk-Metcalf Sunset Chapel Monday, January 13, 2014 at 2:00 pm. Rev. Paul Sevar will be officiating. Interment will follow at Melrose Cemetery.
Friends and family are invited to visitation on Sunday, January12, 2014 at Cason Monk- Metcalf from 2-4 pm.
Bobbie is preceded in death by her parents, one brother Hershel Hall; two sisters, Earline Hall Morton and Clarice Hall Stuart and one grandson, Jason Scott.
Bobbie is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Jimmie E. Scott of Nacogdoches; sons, Jimmie Scott Jr. of Nacogdoches, Jeff Scott of Del Rio, Texas; daughter, Joan Scott of Mesquite, Texas, granddaughters, Brittany Carwell of Cherry Valley, Arkansas and Brenna Scott of Kilgore, Texas; brother, Grover Hall Jr. of Melrose, Texas and many nieces and nephews.
Bobbie was a loving wife, nurturing mother, special grandmother and a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Her greatest accomplishment in life was becoming a Christian. Bobbie’s greatest joy was taking care of her family and cooking for others. Her nurturing and giving spirit will be remembered as her greatest tributes to those she loved the most.
Pallbearers will be David Carwell, Craig Morton, Bobby Samford, Michael Smith, Charles Yarborough, Jimmy Neighbors and honorary pallbearer Ray Schaden.
