The Nacogdoches County Sheriff Office has arrested a Nacogdoches man for Indecency with a child. The sheriff office received a report of a child younger than 12 years of age had been sexually assaulted by the suspect.
The suspect was visiting relatives at a residence on County road 717 when he made inappropriate contact with the child. The child was able to escape from the suspect and make it to the master bedroom to tell her family of what occurred. At this time the suspect fled the scene of the residence on foot.
The Nacogdoches County Sheriff Office later found the suspect at a residence located on Cr. 825. Deputies conducted an interview with the suspect where he gave deputies a confession of what had happened. The suspect was then transported to the Nacogdoches County Sheriff Office where he was further interviewed and gave a written confession to what he did.
Paul Thomas Buchanan 27 years of age was arrested for Indecency with a Child a 2nd felony and placed into the Nacogdoches County Jail. His bond has been set at 50,000 dollars.
