Marilyn Lou Matlock, 64, of Mount Enterprise, Texas, passed away Tuesday, February 12, 2013.
She and her twin sister Carolyn were born February 13, 1948, to parents Ray Sanders and Eula (Trawick) Sanders. Mrs. Matlock had been a lifelong resident of the Mount Enterprise area and worked several years with Fiberglass Specialties in Henderson, retiring from shipping management after moving through ranks from her entry level.
Marilyn grew up attending Landmark Baptist Church and had most recently been attending Sulphur Springs Baptist Church. She and Carolyn had enjoyed singing with a gospel quartet. She enjoyed cooking and supporting youth and family members in their various activites.
Her survivors include her son, David Matlock and wife Sherry of Rusk; grandson, Seth Matlock of Rusk; step-son, Curtis Sallee and wife Debbie of Van; step-granddaughters, Tori Sallee, Cassie Sallee, and Cheyenne Sallee, all of Van; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Wayne Matlock; and sisters, Carolyn Hemphill and Eula Ray Rodrigues.
Funeral services have been set for 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 16, 2013, at Cason Monk-Metcalf Sunset Chapel, located at 5400 North Street, Nacogdoches, with Bro. Marty Grounds officiating. Interment will follow at Lyle Sanders Cemetery near Mount Enterprise.
Visitation will be held Friday, February 15, 2013, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
Pallbearers will be Joe Duke, Larry DeLatorie, Dalton Sallee, Jaime Mansfield, Blake Denney, and Kane McCarty. Her grandson and nephews will be honorary pallbearers.
