The Tour of Homes “Christmas Inspiration” will take place from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday, December 8. Tickets are $15 and available in advance at the Visitor Center, 200 E. Main St., as well as at each home the day of the tour. The Tour of Homes is sponsored by Citizens 1st Bank and the Nacogdoches County Board of Realtors. Proceeds from the tour help benefit Friends of Historic Nacogdoches projects.
“We are excited to announce that we are featuring restored historical homes on the tour this year as well as newer homes and the original Nacogdoches Catholic Church,” said Lindsey Mathews, meeting and event coordinator of the Nacogdoches Convention and Visitors Bureau. “We are looking forward to a large turnout to see these amazing homes and anticipate that this tour will add to the festive spirit of the approaching holidays.”
The Tour of Homes “Christmas Inspiration” is part of the 16th annual Nine Flags Christmas Festival. The Nine Flags Christmas Festival is a celebration of Texas history & culture and is held Nov. 17 through Dec. 8 in Nacogdoches, located about 150 miles north of Houston via U.S. 59. Nine different flags have flown over the oldest town in Texas throughout its rich history, and this year’s festival will pay special tribute to the Spanish flag. Platinum sponsors of the festival include Commercial Bank of Texas, Legends at SFA / Lumberjack Lofts, metroPCS, Mike Perry Motor Company, and Walmart.
