Essie Bee Jones
Graveside service for Mrs. Essie B. Jones, 90, of Nacogdoches, Texas will be held on Saturday, February 26, 2011, at 1:00 pm at Sunset Memorial Park with Dr. James Laughlin and Charles Rowell officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. Mrs. Jones passed away on Friday, February 18, 2011, in Waxahachie, Texas.
She was born on January 16, 1921, in Marshall County, Tennessee to Charles Huston and Claudia Sanders McCoy. Essie was a loving mother and grandmother. She had been a member of Pleasant Hill Church of God for many years. She loved to knit and crochet. She worked alongside her husband for 37 years at Ernie’s Sewing Machine Sales and Services. Survivors include one son, Everett Wayne Jones of Nacogdoches; two grandchildren, Kevin Jones and Erica Raleigh; two great-grandchildren, Tyler Jones and Gracyn Raleigh; as well as numerous nieces and nephews and other extended family and good friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ernie C. Jones; son, Huston Jones and a sister, Mary Hitchcock.
Visitation with the family will be held on Saturday, February 26, 2011, from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm at Laird Funeral Home.
