Students in Stephen F. Austin State University’s Rusche College of Business, College of Fine Arts, and College of Liberal and Applied Arts recently spent the afternoon interacting with professionals at Media Day, a panel presentation connecting them with representatives from Malone Media Group, the Clever Group, KLTV, South Texas Tack and Fenoglio Boot Company.

The event was organized to help students prepare their entry into the American Advertising Federation’s National Student Advertising Competition. Students conducted research to develop an advertising campaign for a well-known software manufacturer and were aided by Peter Andrew, professor of graphic design; Catherine Huh, assistant professor of mass communication; and Dr. Marlene Kahla, professor of management and marketing.

“Part of the primary research is derived from Media Day as students interview industry professionals who work with all types of media and relevant software as part of their careers,” Kahla said.
