A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm., Wednesday, February 2, 2011 at the International Church of Nacogdoches Dream Center, with Pastor Dennis Land officiating. Justin graduated from Carlsbad High School in New Mexico in 1999. He served his country in the US Air Force as an Air Traffic Control Helper. In 2007, he moved to Nacogdoches and started attending school at Stephen F. Austin State University in 2009, where he was pursuing a degree in Business Management. He is a member of the International Church of Nacogdoches Dream Center. Through his faith in Jesus Christ, Justin is with his Heavenly Father now.
Everyone who knew Justin knew his smile. Ear to ear his smile meant that he never met a stranger. When he entered the room he made the atmosphere better with his humor and his encouraging confidence. He always had a plan for where he was heading and how he was going to get there. Justin had a passion for working on cars and he enjoyed playing and competing in Disc Golf. Many were introduced to the sport because he loved to teach it to others. He will be greatly missed by all of those who knew him.
His survivors include: mother, Linda Marshall and husband Dave; father, Dan Shank and wife, Darlene, of Florida; sisters, Lindy Shank and her husband Russell Muchow, Amber Duckworth and husband Matt; grandfather, Burt Skinner; nieces; Kalli, and Kyrstin Muchow; nephews; Russell Muchow, Elijah Duckworth; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He is preceded in death by grandmother, Chole Skinner; grandparents; Kenneth and Valynn Shank; and brother, Rick Dysart.
