It happened 12-4-2010 at 9:02 a.m. on U.S. 59, half a mile north of FM 3439 in Angelina County.
The posted speed limit was 60 mph. The vehicle was a 2004 Chevrolet Pickup.
The driver and deceased was Jose Perez, Hispanic male, 72, worked at Pilgrim’s Pride.
He died at 9:30 at the scene.
He was pronounced dead by JP Marshall.
Body was taken to Gibson Funeral Home.
Seatbelt was worn.
Vehicle was southbound on US 59, it left the roadway and struck the creek embankment.
The road condition was dry, clear, and cloudy.
