Man arrested after marijuana, valued at $27,000, was found in a hidden panel

The Nacogdoches County Constable Office has seized a large amount of marijuana after a traffic stop on Highway 59s. Constable Bridges stated that Deputy Allen stopped a Chevrolet pickup around 11:00 am on 09-10-2012 for a traffic violation. Upon contact with the driver, Deputy Allen could smell marijuana coming from the vehicle.

A search of the motor vehicle was conducted by Deputy Allen, and Deputy Murray due to smelling marijuana. While searching the vehicle deputies noticed fresh tool marks around the back quarter panels. After removing the panels, Deputies found 12 bundles of marijuana concealed in both the passenger and driver side quarter panels of the vehicle.

The driver has been identified as Hosie Lee Williams, 23 years of age from Pontotoc, Mississippi. He was arrested for Possession of Marijuana a 3rd Felony and booked into the Nacogdoches County Jail. The marijuana is valued at $27,000 dollars.
