All suspects are innocent until proven guilty
10-17501-2819 North -Theft from a person/recovered drugs – comp cashed a 400 dollar check at continental and walked outside. Suspect, her baby’s father snatched the money and ran away. He jumped a couple of fences and witnesses saw him bury something in a backyard. We went to the spot and recovered his cell phone and several bags of marijuana.
10-17497- Laurel Oak @ Willow Oak – Hit and Run – suspect wrecked into comps vehicle then gave her his insurance card and left. He left no other information. His DL is suspended and he has city warrants. We were unable to contact him at this time
10-17530-1811North St-POM F-4-Officers responded to a gunshot heard call and located the gun in apartment 212. The owner of the shot gun was not home at the time. The roommate, Kevin Cooper however was and he gave consent to search his room and common areas. Officers located 13.07 ounces of marijuana and several scales. Kevin Cooper was arrested
10-17505-4200 old Tyler Rd-DWLI-Brian Field-was contacted on an accident call and found to be driving with a suspended D/L. He was arrested.
10-17513 -3700 E Main- Hit and Run-comp advised that a an unknown subject in an older model gray car struck her vehicle then left the scene without providing any info.
10-17546-122 Kent St-C/M-comp advised that suspect was banging and kicking on her door because they are dating the same man and suspect thought he was inside the residence with comp. suspect did approximately $200.00 worth of damage to the comps door.
10-17536-209 Flora St-DWI/Terroristic Threat-comp called in a drunk driver who was threatening her. She advised that a white male later identified as Charles Franklin was threatening to kill her and accused her of stealing $100.00 Officer contacted Franklin and arrested him for DWI.
10-17528-28B E J Campbell-Assault- advised that he bought some speakers from a guy he knows only by a nickname. comp had not paid for the speakers yet and suspect came looking for his money. Comp, gave suspect the speakers and then suspect and four other unknown black males assaulted the comp. comp went to the hospital with minor injuries.
