Obituary: Patsy Ruth Bramley

     Ms. Patsy Ruth Bramley, 72, formerly of Nacogdoches passed away on November 29, 2011 in Jacksonville, Florida. She was born on September 16, 1939 in Livingston, Texas to parents, William L. Smith and Laura Mae Smith (McFarland).

     Visitation is scheduled for Thursday, December 1, 2011 at Green Lawn Funeral Home, 4300 Beech Blvd., Jacksonville, Florida from 5pm – 7 pm and on December 3, 2011 at Cason Monk-Metcalf Sunset Chapel from 1pm – 2 pm. at 5400 North Street in Nacogdoches. A funeral service will follow on Saturday at 2:00 pm with Pastor David Coleman of Trinity Baptist officiating. Her interment will be at Union Springs Cemetery in Nacogdoches, Texas. The United States Army will perform military rites at the cemetery.

     Pat was a wonderful mother and a passionate nurse. After graduating high school, she began nursing school and in 1979 continued her career in the United States Army Nursing Corp. She earned her rank of Major by the time she was discharged in 1987. She was a member of the Eastern Star and the Army Nurse Corp. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family.

     Patsy is survived by son, William Albert Bramley, Jr. and wife Shieryl of Norfolk, Virginia; daughters, Patricia LaNell Barton and husband Mike, Laura Michelle Weaver and companion Arden DeSaussure of Jacksonville, Florida; step-daughter, Lori Hovis; ex-husband, William Albert Bramley Sr.; sisters, Billie Mae Williams and husband “Buster”, Deborah Ann Cotton and husband Reggie of Nacogdoches and adopted sister, Joy Wilson and husband Charles “Bubba” of Livingston; grandchildren Adam Meyer, Autumn Meyer, Jeremy Warner, Jessica Warner, Janae Weaver all of Jacksonville, Fl., Maitland Bramley, Isabella Bramley of VA.; and 7 great grandchildren and Mamaw’s little boy, London Williams.

     Patsy is preceded in death by parents; step-father, E.M .Barrett; step-daughter, Debbie Bender.
