The SFA College of Fine Arts and School of Art will open “Lauren McAdams: Potential Energy” with a 6 p.m. reception on Friday, Aug. 19, at The Cole Art Center @ The Old Opera House, 329. E. Main St. in downtown Nacogdoches.
In creating the pieces for this exhibition, the SFA assistant professor used traditional metalworking and jewelry techniques to suggest commentaries and narratives about social and political themes.
The show will run through Saturday, Sept. 17. Regular gallery hours are 12:30 to 5 p.m., Tuesday through Friday, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday. For more information, please call (936) 468-1131.
