Friends and Fellow Republicans:
This legislative session is winding down and there are a few things that YOU can still have an impact on.
As I understand it, HB 1 had taken $61 million from Planned Parenthood and it is stalled in the Senate. You can contact the conference committee members and urge them to get this CUT back in:
Rep. Jim Pitts: 512-463-0516
Sen. Steve Ogden: 512-463-0105
And there is the Anti-Sanctuary Bill. If you support this bill call the Capitol Switchboard at 512-463-4630, ask for Senator Nichols’ office and let someone there know that you want him to “support the Anti-Sanctuary Legislation HB12” and to “support the motion to proceed on HB 12 and to vote YES on the bill.”
Also, the HB 1 had enough money trimmed out of the budget whereby there was no need to go into the Rainy Day Fund. You can contact Senator Nichols’ office and let him know if you are against spending funds from the Rainy Day Fund to make the budget.
