     A graveside service will be held for Brenda Gale Rudd, 45, of Nacogdoches, Texas on Friday, September 30, 2011 at Isabell Chapel Cemetery at 2:00 PM with Bro. Sonny Scarborough officiating.

     Brenda Gale Rudd was a sweet, loving, young woman who had a fighting spirit and a heart of gold. She will be remembered for all she was to each of her loving family.

     Brenda is survived by her mother, Murline Rankin Rudd of Nacogdoches and many, many cousins.

     She was preceded in death by her father, Alford Nolan Rudd and her paternal and maternal grandparents.

     Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 29, 2011 at Laird Funeral Home from 6 until 8 PM.

     Funeral service for Mrs. Willie Mae Smith Flanagan, 76, of Nacogdoches, Texas will be held on Friday, October 7, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Laird Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Dennis Anderson officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Nacogdoches.

     Willie was born on March 20, 1935 in Nacogdoches, Texas. She was the daughter of Sime Leon Smith and Johnie Dorse Barrett Smith. She passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 4, 2011 in Nacogdoches.

     Willie married the love of her life, Reuben Ray Flanagan, on June 21, 1954. They were married for 56 loving years before he passed away last year. She was an excellent sewer and quilter, and made special quilts for all her children and for special occasions. Willie enjoyed cooking, and was known for her fried chicken, chicken n’ dumplings, and chicken and dressing. She even used a special pot for frying her chicken. She was a wonderful listener and always enjoyed hearing a good story or the latest gossip. Willie’s favorite game show was Wheel of Fortune. She was a longtime member of Appleby Baptist Church. She was called Mom by some, Maw Maw by many, and to Darrell she was Roner. She loved her family dearly, and will be greatly missed by all of her loved ones.

     She is survived by one daughter, Debra Ann King and husband, Pug of Nacogdoches; two sons, David Ray Flanagan and wife, Donna of Nacogdoches and Darrell Leon Flanagan and wife, Juanita of Nacogdoches; grandchildren, David and Katie Flanagan, Tiffany and Wade Pettiette, Adam Flanagan and Alex Flanagan; great-grandchildren, Kade Pettiette and Jovi Flanagan; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family and good friends.

     She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Reuben Ray Flanagan.

     Pallbearers will be Pug King, Wade Pettiette, Mark Dees, Jeff Casper, David Flanagan, and Adam Flanagan.

     Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 6, 2011 at Laird Funeral Home from 5 until 7 PM.

     A private memorial service for Virginia Ann Foster, 55, of Nacogdoches, Texas will be held at a later date with Bro. Sonny Scarborough officiating.

     She was born on April 18, 1956 in Nacogdoches, Texas, daughter of the late Ray David Sargent, and Virginia Moore Sargent Williams of Nacogdoches. She passed away on October 4, 2011 in Nacogdoches.

     Funeral Service for Tabatha Joy Risinger, 25, of Nacogdoches, TX, will be held at 2 PM on Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at Laird Funeral Home. Ms. Risingerd passed away Saturday, October 8th, 2011 in Appleby. Interment will follow in Simpson Campground Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday, October 10, 2011 from 6 until 8 PM at Laird Funeral Home. Tabatha is survived by her parents; Alice Fulmer of Nacogdoches and Troy Risinger of Shelbyville; two daughters, Natalea Smith, of Nacogdoches, TX; Aleasha Broadway, of Nacogdoches, TX; a son,Kyle Smith, of Nacogdoches, TX; She is also survived by two sisters, Kimberly Risinger, of Center, TX and Rebecca Risinger, of Center, TX. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Christin Womans Job Corp.
