Email scam being reported by NPD

The Nacogdoches Police Department has been made aware of an email scam that is circulating.

Some residents reported receiving an email from a person that purports to be a “hired killer” that has been paid to take the email recipient’s life. The sender offers to stop the “hit” if the victim will respond to the email and pay money to the sender of the email.

NPD Fraud investigators have traced the origin of this email to the United Kingdom. Anyone who receives this email should delete it immediately and not respond to it.

To see the text of the email, go to the Nacogdoches Police Department’s Facebook page.
