Obituary: Jean W. Tanner

Jean W. Tanner, 92, formerly of Corpus Christi, Texas passed away on October 9, 2012 in Garrison, Texas. She was born in Texarkana on July 9, 1920. She is survived by sons, Jim Wilson and wife Ann and John Wilson; daughter, Judy Wilson; many grandchildren.

A graveside service will be conducted by David Alders at the Sunset Mausoleum Memorial Park on Sunday, October 14, at 6:00 pm. The United States Army will render military rites.

Guests are invited to visit with the family from 4-5:30 pm at Cason Monk- Metcalf Funeral Directors located at 5400 North Street in Nacogdoches, Texas on Sunday before the service. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Cason Monk- Metcalf Funeral Directors.

The Nacogdoches Farmers’ Market, located at the “hitch lot” at the corner of West Main and Pearl Streets, is open from 8 a.m. until noon or later every Saturday morning and is open on Wednesday afternoons from 3 to 6 p.m. during the Fall season. If the market parking lot is full, additional parking is available in the Nacogdoches County Courthouse Annex parking lot.
Please note that the Farmer’s Market is a “Smoke Free” facility for the health of our customers and vendors.
