Mrs. Gladys Barnhart, age 86, passed away on January 8, 2014 at Nacogdoches Medical Center. She was born on December 10, 1927 in Nacogdoches to parents I.S. Clifton and Mae Moody Clifton.
Family and friends are invited to visitation on Friday, January 10 at Cason Monk-Metcalf Sunset Chapel from 1:00-2:00 p.m. prior to the service. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Dock Lazarine and Rev. Jason Lott officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
Gladys was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert Travis Barnhart on February 29, 2000;
brothers, Ancil Clifton, Wade Clifton, T.J. Clifton; and sister, Lillie Hamilton.
Mrs. Barnhart is survived by her son, Danny Barnhart and wife Terri; grandson, Richard Barnhart; great-grandsons, Bobby Barnhart, Brian Barnhart, Brett Barnhart, Bryson Barnhart; great-great-grandson, Buck Barnhart; ; brother, Ben Clifton and wife Joan; sister, Eula Chapman; and numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
Gladys and Robert Travis Barnhart were married October 12, 1946, in Garrison, Texas. Mrs. Barnhart will be remembered as a kind person who tried to help people. She was a 60 year member of the University Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking for her family and friends and spending time with the people she loved the most.
Active pallbearers will be Joey Ross, Billy Ross, Dennis Chapman, Terry Clifton, Allen Clifton, Raymond Barrett, and Randy Stewart.
Memorial donations may be offered to University Baptist Church, 2505 North Street, Nacogdoches, Texas, 75965-3500.

The Nacogdoches county sheriff office has arrested two Cushing people after find methamphetamine and weapons inside their home. Sheriff Jason Bridges stated that the sheriff office has been working an ongoing investigation into the distribution of methamphetamine from a residence on cr. 864 in the Cushing community.
Investigators arrived yesterday evening at the residence and spoke with two subjects at the residence. Investigators obtained consent to search the residence, which led to the discovery of 8 grams of crystal methamphetamine and two weapons inside the residence. Sheriff Investigators are further investigating that one of the weapons that were recovered may be stolen.
Jennifer Woodbury 32 years of age and James Wurm 39 years of age were both arrested for possession of a controlled substance a 2nd felony. Both subjects were transported to the Nacogdoches County Jail.
Sheriff Jason Bridges stated that other property was seized at the residence by investigators that are believed to be stolen. The investigation on the stolen property is still ongoing.
Mrs. Andrea Zoe Randall, age 52, passed away on January 6, 2014 in Nacogdoches, Texas after a long battle with cancer. She was born on November 28, 1961 in Cherry Point, North Carolina to parents Carl and Yukiko Ponder.
A Memorial Service will be conducted on Saturday, January 11, 2014 at 12:00 pm at the Alazan Congregational Methodist Church, 9508 S FM 225, Nacogdoches, Texas with Bro. Robbyn Hunt officiating.
Andrea is survived by her parents; husband, Roger Randall; daughters, Kimberly Cosby and husband Wesley and Pamela Murphy all of Nacogdoches; step-daughter, Lana Randall of Dallas; grandsons, Bailey and Preston Munson; granddaughter, Karoline Cosby all of Nacogdoches; sister, Dana Ponder of Tomball; grandmother, Ava Ponder of Nacogdoches.
