The Nacogdoches Police Department was thrilled to represent our community at the Harris County Sheriff’s Office Foundation’s annual Sharpshooters Team Challenge on September 26th at Athena Gun Club in Houston, TX. Sergeants Tyler Trout, Ty Birdwell, Detective Jonathon Bell, and Lieutenant Nick Stewart all took part and proudly brought home the 1st place trophy. Recently retired DPS Trooper Brian Barnes also achieved success, receiving 3rd place at the event. Brian has now assumed the role of NPD Lake Officer at Lake Nacogdoches. This fundraiser was incredibly important for their organization, providing much-needed funding. Our officers were honored to participate and have proudly showcased the trophy in the NPD lobby.
