Nacogdoches County Constable Office precinct 4 are looking into a case of injury to the elderly that resulted in the arrest of 43-year old Debra Brimer Auer.
Constable Bridges stated that upon arrival at the residence he could hear a disturbance taking place inside the house. Constable Bridges entered the residence and found the actor, Debra Auer assaulting an elderly man who was sitting in a chair. Auer was immediately restrained and taken into custody.
Auer was alleged to have used a book and a wooden back scratcher to assault a 76-year old man. The elderly man, identified as Bobby Morton, had injuries to his head, ear and hand, according to officers. He refused medical transport, however, EMS was called to the scene to bandage his hand.
Constable J. Bridges and Nacogdoches County Sheriff’s Deputy J. Sparks responded to a 9-1-1 call from a residence on County Road 466. When they arrived Morton told officers that Auer had become intoxicated and gotten mad at him and began assaulting him.
Constable Bridges stated the victim and suspect are known to each other and alcohol may have played a factor for the assault.
