Catheryn (Cathy) Dawson Williams

Cathy Williams went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, January 29, 2011 after a lengthy battle with cancer. She fought a long, hard and valiant battle against the disease. She was the daughter of Lester Barnes Dawson and James. T. Dawson, Sr.

She gave courage, determination, graciousness and optimism a new definition. She has been an inspiration to everyone that knows her. She is finally pain free and rejoicing in her heavenly home.

She leaves behind her adoring son, N. Dee Williams and his wife Sara; brothers, James T. Jr (Buddy) and wife Barbara, David and wife Sharon, Bobby and son Kooper; sister Sarah Dawson and Pam Edwards who was like another sister and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles and a host of cousins, friends and neighbors.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 39 years, Norman and an infant daughter, Clara Elizabeth. She also leaves behind a loving church family at McKnight Congregational Methodist Church in Cushing of which she was a member for many, many years and hundreds of prayer partners who have supported her through this journey.

She was employed by RR Donnelley (formerly Moore Business Forms) for 37 years and was a valued member of the management team in her role as HR Manager and well respected in the HR community as a whole. Everything that she did, she did well.
