OMA Mural

omaA full-wall mural recently installed on the third floor of the Baker Pattillo Student Center pays homage to the spirit of Stephen F. Austin State University while honoring campus diversity. Office of Multicultural Affairs student members and staff designed the mural and SFA’s Student Government Association sponsored it. Veronica Beavers, OMA director, said the hope is to transform the space in front of the mural into a meeting and study area.

Pictured, from left, are Kody Jenkins, SGA senator; Jalon Berry, OMA assistant director; student David Ajiga; Jeffrey Agouna, SGA president; Hiba Kunwer, SGA justice; student Michaela Booker, member of Alpha Kappa Alpha; student London Brazell; Kristine Cross, OMA student ambassador; Vanessa Huynh, OMA student ambassador; Star Jackson, SGA vice president; Andrea Flores, OMA student ambassador; Alicia De La Rosa-Millard, OMA administrative assistant; Beavers; Dr. Hollie Smith, interim dean of Student Affairs Programs; and student Corey Christle, member of Men of Achievement.
