SFA nursing students to hold event benefiting area hospices

The Stephen F. Austin State University DeWitt School of Nursing will hold a bingo night benefiting area hospices 6 p.m. Tuesday at the DeWitt School of Nursing Complex.

Hosted by fourth semester nursing students, the event gives people “the opportunity to give back to our community and support our elderly and student populations in Nacogdoches,” said Megan Miller, senior nursing student from Fort Worth.

Participants can purchase one bingo card for $2 or three cards for $5 and have a chance to win gift cards and other prizes. Donations will be taken at the event, and proceeds will go to support Hospice in the Pines and Joseph House, a residential facility providing end of life care which compliments hospice services.
