January 11 Crime Log: Careful, the ink’s still wet

     FORGERY; 1000 BLOCK OF NORTH UNIVERSITY DRIVE. A COUNTERFEIT $10 BILL WAS PASSED AT A LOCAL BUSINESS. THE BILL WAS RECOVERED.

     EVADING ARREST-RESISTING ARREST; 5100 BLOCK OF NORTH STREET. OFFICER STOPPED A VEHICLE FOR A TRAFFIC VIOLATION. THE DRIVER FLED ON FOOT AFTER TRAFFIC WARRANTS WERE FOUND OUTSTANDING ON HIM. OFFICER PURSUED THE SUSPECT AND APPREHENDED HIM IN THE 4700 BLOCK OF PEARL.

     DWLI-FAILURE TO IDENTIFY; 4400 BLOCK OF NORTH STREET. ON A TRAFFIC STOP, THE DRIVER GAVE OFFICER A FALSE NAME. WHEN THE SUSPECT WAS IDENTIFIED, HE WAS FOUND TO HAVE A SUSPENDED DRIVERS LICENSE. THE SUSPECT WAS ARRESTED.

     CREDIT CARD ABUSE; 3100 BLOCK OF EVERWOOD TRAIL. COMPLAINANT’S DEBIT CARD INFORMATION WAS USED WITHOUT AUTHORIZATION.

     DWI; 600 BLOCK OF EAST MAIN. A VEHICLE WAS REPORTED AS A RECKLESS DRIVER. OFFICERS STOPPED THE VEHICLE AND SUSPECTED THE DRIVER OF BEING INTOXICATED. THE DRIVER WAS ARRESTED.
