Build a Better Environment at the Public Library

The Nacogdoches Public Library invites children 7 and up and their families to Build a Better Environment on Thursday, July 20th at 5:30 p.m. Join John Boyette, District Forester III with the Texas A&M Forest Service, and Katie Blevins, Executive Coordinator of Keep Nacogdoches Beautiful, for discussions about how to get involved in making a difference for the environment, right outside your front door. Kids may attend for a companion workshop next door at STEAM 4 Kids.

Basic Soapmaking at the Public Library

The Nacogdoches Public Library invites adults to a workshop, Basic Soapmaking, on Saturday, July 22nd at 2:30 p.m. Participants will learn how to create easy, healthy, natural, and beautiful soaps for your family. They make great ideas for gift giving season, too! The facilitator will be Lauren Bible of Four Happy Possums Naturals. The event is free, but registration is requested. Movie Night at the Public Library

The Nacogdoches Public Library invites community members age 13 and up to a special movie night on Saturday, July 22nd at 5:30 p.m. Join us for a film event with popcorn, hot dogs, and soda in collaboration with the Friends of the Visual Arts. These events will be offered in addition to the First Friday Film Series at the Cole Art Center. The event is free, but registration is requested, and the film will be rated PG-13. Frontier Days at the Public Library

The Nacogdoches Public Library invites area families to Frontier Days on Tuesday, July 25th at 10:00 a.m. Participants will explore life on the frontier. Join us as we build forts and log cabins, dress in period dress and make old-fashioned toys and crafts. We will discover how the early pioneers had to work together in order to build a better world.
