Stress Relief Workshop at the Public Library

The Nacogdoches Public Library invites the community to a free workshop entitled ”Stress: What it is and How to Work With It” on Saturday, July 1st at 1:30 p.m. This is a holistic contemplative approach to stress. Stress is experienced by every living person, yet is often seen as a villain attempting to ruin people’s lives. This class will discuss the physical, psychological, and ecological implications of stress and how one might better understand and utilize the stress mechanism. Arrie Tucker will facilitate. Build a Better Forest Discussion at the Public Library

The Nacogdoches Public Library invites the community to a free workshop entitled, “Build a Better Forest” on Thursday, July 6th at 5:30 p.m. Join John Boyette, District Forester III with the Texas A&M Forest Service, for an enlightening perspective on one of our greatest local features, our trees! Touch-a-Truck at the Public Library

The Nacogdoches Public Library invites the community to a free event, Touch-a-Truck, on Tuesday, July 11th at 10:00 a.m. Learn about emergency vehicles by experiencing them … hands-on! Talk to our community superheroes who operate these vehicles. Learn what it is like to be a first-responder and how these men and women help build a better world through their jobs. No registration is required for this event.

College Savings Plans Program at the Public Library

The Nacogdoches Public Library is hosting a program called “College Savings Plans.” Christina Wittch, Outreach Specialist for Texas Tuition Promise Fund, will explain the various prepaid and college-savings funds that are available. It is never too early to start savings for your children’s college education. Grandparents and other relatives are encouraged to attend as well. The free program will be held on July 18th at 6:00 pm. Call 559-2970 to register or to find out about other library programs.
