Microsoft Excel Classes at the Public Library

The Nacogdoches Public Library will offer free Microsoft Excel classes on June 14th and 15th. Part I will be an introduction to the menu, formula writing and formatting. Part II will feature file organization, using multiple sheets and special features. DIY Temporary Tattoos & Creative Lettering at the Public Library

The Nacogdoches Public Library invites teens ages 10 to 17 to learn how to create their own temporary tattoos on Wednesday, June 14th at 4:30 p.m. Participants will practice some cool and fun lettering styles, then apply them as temporary tattoos of their own design. We’ll also learn how to turn dried flowers into wearable art. The event is free, but registration is requested. Please call 559-2970 to reserve a spot.

Detox Your Home & DIY Sunscreen at the Public Library

The Nacogdoches Public Library invites adults to a class on essential oils called Detox Your Home on Thursday, June 15th at 5:30 p.m. Participants will learn how to detoxify the home with essential oils, and then their newfound knowledge to work by making their own sunscreen. Escape the Puzzle Room at the Public Library

The Nacogdoches Public Library invites tweens & teens aged 10 to 17 to Escape the Puzzle Room: Mysterious Fortune on Friday, June 16th at 5:30 p.m. Participants will work as a team to solve the mystery of the unknown stranger who’s left his fortune to the library. Successfully completing a series of puzzles, hidden clues, and riddles will reveal the fictional benefactor’s identity. The event is free, but registration is requested. Cinema en Español

Nacogdoches Public Library will host a special Spanish-language movie night this Saturday, June 17th at 6:30 pm. The movie is about Tejano music star, Selena Quintanilla-Perez whose brief life touched many fans and whose legacy continues. The event is open to all ages, but attendance is limited. Spice Swap & Around the World Tasting at the Public Library

The Nacogdoches Public Library invites adults to a Spice Swap & Around the World Tasting event on Saturday, June 17th at 2:30 p.m. Does your cupboard have too many containers of cream of tartar, but no salt? Do you have more turmeric than you’ll ever need? Bring your extra spices and swap with other cooks. We’ll also learn some fun spice substitutes and other uses for your not-so-fresh spices. Then, we’ll have a tasting tour around the world of uniquely spiced dishes. Bring an empty stomach! The event is free, but registration is requested. Please call 559-2970 to reserve a spot.

SFA Theater to Visit Public Library

The Nacogdoches Public Library invites people of all ages to a musical production during our Summer Reading Program on Tuesday, June 20, 2017, at 10:00 a.m. The Stephen F. Austin State University College of Fine Arts and School of Theater will present musical selections from their upcoming SummerStage Festival production of Ivy + Bean. This musical is based on the Ivy + Bean series of books written by Annie Barrows about a couple of girls with very different personalities who become the best of friends.
