January 5 Crime Log: I said change the station, not the radio

     BURGLARY OF A VEHICLE; 500 BLOCK OF EAST MAIN. UN UNSECURED VEHICLE WAS ENTERED AND A RADIO WAS REMOVED FROM THE DASH.

     THEFT; 2000 BLOCK OF DURST. A KNOWN SUSPECT TOOK A LAPTOP COMPUTER FROM THE COMPLAINANT WITHOUT PERMISSION.

     BURGLARY OF A VEHICLE; 3500 BLOCK OF LIVE OAK. AN UNSECURED VEHICLE WAS ENTERED AND A WALLET AND PURSE WERE TAKEN.

     BURGLARY OF A HABITATION; 1200 BLOCK OF RITCHIE STREET. A HOUSE WAS ENTERED DURING A FIVE DAY PERIOD. IT IS NOT KNOWN EXACTLY WHAT IS MISSING AT THIS TIME.

     ASSAULT; 200 BLOCK OF WORTHAM. A KNOWN SUSPECT REPORTEDLY STRUCK THE COMPLAINANT DURING A DISTURBANCE. NO INJURIES; SUSPECT GONE ON ARRIVAL.

     THEFT; 700 BLOCK OF LOCK STREET. A BICYCLE WAS STOLEN FROM A YARD.

     THEFT; 200 BLOCK OF SOUTH POPP. A BICYCLE WAS STOLEN FROM A NEIGHBOR’S FRONT YARD.

     POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE; 3000 BLOCK OF NORTH STALLINGS. ON A TRAFFIC STOP, THE DRIVER GAVE A FALSE NAME. ONCE HE WAS IDENTIFIED, OFFICERS FOUND THAT HE HAD AN OUTSTANDING CITY WARRANT. THE SUSPECT WAS ARRESTED AND OFFICERS LOCATED SUSPECTED XANAX ON THE SUSPECT’S PERSON.

     BURGLARY OF A HABITATION; 1400 BLOCK OF HILLVIEW. A .410 SHOTGUN, A GLOCK 45 PISTOL, A TELEVISION AND TWO GOLD RINGS WERE STOLEN FROM A RESIDENCE WHILE THE OWNER WAS ABSENT.
