Nacogdoches Police responded to the 4100 block of SE Stallings Dr at approximately 9:45 am Friday morning in reference to a possible fatality accident. Passersby noticed a disturbed area in the grass along the shoulder of the roadway and stopped to investigate, suspecting a vehicle had left the south side of the road. The passerby discovered a late model pick up truck wedged in a cluster of trees not visible from the roadway. It is unknown exactly what time the accident occurred.
Andrew Anderson Herring, 38, of Nacogdoches, was pronounced dead at the scene by Justice of the Peace Dorothy Tigner.
The accident is still under investigation by the Nacogdoches Police Department’s Traffic Unit. Others who responded were NFD, NCEMS and Nacogdoches Police CID.
