Jerrel Mitchell Lawson, 63, of Houston, Texas, passed away Wednesday, December 29, 2010, in Houston.
Jerrel was born November 25, 1947, to James and Emmie Hogan Lawson.
He is survived by his son, Michael Lawson of New Caney, Texas, daughter, Shelly Bowen and husband Kevin of Colorado, friend and caregiver Ty Harvey of New Caney, Texas; granddaughter, Paige Elizabeth Bowen; brothers, James L. Lawson of Conroe, Texas, and Lonnie Glenn Lawson and wife Debbie of New Caney, Texas; numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Jerrel enjoyed life and loved spending time with his friends and family. He loved horses and enjoyed roping.
Graveside services are set for 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 1, 2011, at Bethel Cemetery in Nacogdoches, Texas
