December 21 Crime Log: Don’t let the door hit you on the way out

     119 Beall, Criminal Mischief: The manager of a Minit Mart stated that two males came into the store trying to cash a Western Union money order and became angry when the comp would not cash the money order. As the two subjects left, one of them pushed the front door open very hard causing the top hinge to get damaged. The two subjects got into a grey 2dr Pontiac Grand Prix vehicle and left the area.

     3505 South, Theft: Comp advised that an employee took money from the business. Suspect would ring up a sale, collect the money then cancel the transaction on the cash register. Suspect would then keep the money. Suspect arrived for work while officer was on scene and was arrested for a warrant unrelated to this incident. Warrant being requested for this theft.

     1602 Cardinal, BMV: Comp advised that between 12/16 and 12/18 her vehicle had been burglarized. She was not sure if her vehicle was locked. Reported by phone because she did not have time to call prior to leaving town. Taken was a silver IPOD touch valued at $150 and a black cd case containing about 70 cd’s valued at $300.

     3428 South, M-C Assault F/V, Crim. Mischief: Officers responded to Rm 120 at the Best Western in reference to an unknown situation. On arrival, Officer contacted a male and female. The two had lived together for about 2 yrs and are now ex’s. The female said she was there to discuss getting some of her belongings from her ex-boyfriend and he said she came over for fun. She changed her mind and they started to argue and assaulted each other and the female threw her phone in the parking lot after she called her current boyfriend to come over. The two were arrested.
