The oldest town in Texas will go “all blueberry” at the 27th Annual Texas Blueberry presented by Tipton Ford-Lincoln. The free admission, family friendly festival is 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, June 11 in downtown Nacogdoches.

“The excitement is building for the magical moment when the festival opens,” said Chair Grace Handler. “We are ready to throw the big bash for thousands of guests. All ages are invited, because the variety of activities, contests, vendors and live entertainment acts are sure to please tons of different tastes and interests.”

A Friday night Blueberry Bluegrass Concert in the Park presented by Rex Perry Autoplex is the lead-in to the blueberry weekend. The concert is also free to attend and begins at 6 p.m. on June 10 in downtown Festival Park.

“Make your way to the concert on Friday, and you will get in the blueberry mood with four bluegrass bands performing including The Baker Family and Catahoula Drive,” Handler said. “Enjoy the evening with good music, food and friends, and be ready to start the festival day the next morning with a plate of blueberry pancakes.”
