City of Nacogdoches residents are encouraged to utilize city services and programs to help with recycling efforts after the holiday season.

Since many find themselves with an abundance of recyclable items after the Holiday season, now is a great time to visit one of our drop off locations. The two main recycling drop-off locations are: C. L. Simon Recreation Center (behind the building) at 1112 North St and the City Landfill located at 4602 N.W. Stallings.

Old sales fliers, packing paper, and newspapers, and flattened cardboard boxes may be dropped off at these sites. Unfortunately, wrapping paper is not recyclable and must be disposed of with your regular garbage.

Christmas Trees may be placed on the curb with all ornaments and lights removed. The City of Nacogdoches’ brush truck will pick them up to be recycled at Angelina BioMass.

Finally, aluminum cans are always welcomed at the City of Nacogdoches’ Animal Adoption Center, located at 3211 S.W. Stallings.

All other unwanted metals/appliances can be sold at Nacogdoches Recycling Center located at 2508 Woden Rd.

Remember, the City of Nacogdoches does not collect items/trash that are not inside your garbage container.
