INCIDENT ON AUSTIN HOLLOW CIRCLE

At approximately 11:30 AM today the Nacogdoches Police Department was called to a domestic disturbance/family violence incident at a residence on Austin Hollow.

A female reported that a male on the scene had physically assaulted her. While officers were enroute to the scene, the female was able to exit the home. Upon the arrival of police officers, the male suspect inside the house refused to answer the door or communicate with officers.

It was learned that the male may have access to firearms inside the house, although none was displayed or used during the disturbance.

After several attempts to get the man to come out, officers entered the residence through a window, and the suspect was arrested without incident.
The incident was under control at 12:56 pm.

No injuries were reported in the incident.

Assisting in the incident were members of the Nacogdoches Sheriffs Office and the Nacogdoches Fire Department. Memorial Hospital EMS was staged on standby during the incident.
