CRIME STOPPERS SEEKS PUBLIC’S HELP IN SOLVING SHOOTING INCIDENT

An evening spent with family enjoying the annual fireworks show on the night of July 4th almost turned deadly for a pair of Nacogdoches teens. While travelling home in the area of Mike Moses Middle School on Park St, the teens encountered a truck parked in the school parking lot. As the teens drove from the area the truck pursued them, eventually catching up to them near the intersection of Park St and NE Stallings Dr. The teens turned north onto NE Stallings and the suspect vehicle attempted to overtake them while turning. At least one shot was fired from the suspect vehicle. The gunshot narrowly missed striking the teenage victim in the head. The teens were able to elude the suspect vehicle and summon help from the police.

The suspect vehicle is described as a mid 2000’s Chevrolet extended cab with an unknown color. Other vehicles were in the area and placed in danger when this senseless act of violence occurred. The Nacogdoches Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in locating these dangerous suspects.
