Nacogdoches Summer Scavenger Hunt
Looking for a fun summer activity for the whole family? How about an activity that is not only fun, but is also educational and local? Look no further than the Nacogdoches Summer Scavenger Hunt!
This year, eight tourist attractions will be participating in a scavenger hunt that will take place May 29th through August 21st. Joining in the scavenger hunt will be the Sterne-Hoya House Museum & Library, Durst-Taylor Historic House & Gardens, Stone Fort Museum, the Old University Building, Judy B. McDonald Public Library, Millard’s Crossing Historic Village, Cole Art Center, and the Nacogdoches Railroad Depot. Those wishing to participate need only to pick up a scavenger hunt sheet from any of the listed sites, or the Nacogdoches Convention and Visitors Bureau, answer two questions about each location, and then return the sheet to any of the locations. These questions come directly from the guided tours given at these locations or are easily found when walking through the sites. Once all the questions are answered and sheets are turned in, your name is entered into a prize drawing.
The winner of the Nacogdoches Summer Scavenger Hunt will receive a prize package containing objects from each of the participating locations. The prize pack will include books, puzzles, mugs and several other items. Don’t miss out on this summer event!
