MEDIA INFORMATION-Credit Union Robbery

AGGRAVATED ROBBERY- DOCHES CREDIT UNION

At 9:57 am this morning, a robbery alarm was received by the Nacogdoches Police Department from the Doches Credit Union branch, located at 823 South University Drive. Consolidated Dispatch also received a 9-1-1 call indicating that the facility had just been robbed.

Upon arrival, officers learned that at shortly before the alarm was activated, a male suspect entered the office and approached the teller. This suspect displayed a handgun and demanded money. The suspect took an undetermined amount of money and fled on foot, northbound toward the Shawnee Street area.

The suspect is described as a black male, 5’11”-6’0” tall, thin build, last seen wearing all black clothing with a white bandana or cloth covering the lower portion of his face.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation has been notified and responded. The case has been turned over to that agency, and any further inquiries should be directed to the FBI.
