Storybook Saturday

Do you believe there is a little magic in museums? We sure do. The third time this year the City of Nacogdoches Historic Sites Department and the SFA School of Theater are teaming up to present a fun, fairy tale themed event.
Our Storybook Saturday event will be Saturday, October 25th at 10:30 a.m. at the Durst-Taylor Historic House and Gardens. Cinderella and Jack from Jack and the Beanstalk will be visiting the museum and telling us their stories. Both of these stories are not only magical, but very old; both appearing in print in the early 1800s.
Visitors are asked to arrive 10 minutes before story time starts so they can find a seat and get ready to listen. One of our stories, Jack and the Beanstalk, will be told outside, so visitors are encouraged to dress appropriately. There will be light refreshments served before story time begins and children are encouraged to dress up like their favorite fairy tale characters. There will be an opportunity to take pictures with our actors after story time.
This event is made possible through cooperation with the Stephen F. Austin State University School of Theatre. Admission to this event is free and appropriate for all ages.
