REGULAR MEETING OF THE NACOGDOCHES CITY COUNCIL

Notice is hereby given of a Regular Meeting of the Nacogdoches City Council to be held May 6, 2014, beginning
at 5:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers of City Hall, 202 E. Pilar Street, Nacogdoches, Texas, for the purpose of
considering the following agenda items. All agenda items are subject to action.

PLEASE LIMIT PRESENTATIONS TO THREE MINUTES
(UNLESS PRIOR APPROVAL IS OBTAINED)
1. Call to order.

2. Invocation.

3. PRESENTATIONS AND RECOGNITIONS:

A. Receive presentation on National Travel and Tourism Week. (CVB)

4. Items to be removed from Consent Agenda.

5. CONSENT AGENDA: Items included under the Consent Agenda require little or no deliberation by the
Council. Approval of the Consent Agenda authorizes the City Manager or his designee to proceed with
conclusion of each in accordance with staff recommendations as reflected in the minutes of this meeting.

A. Consider approval of minutes from the regular session of April 15, 2014. (City Secretary)

B. Consider authorization for tax resale for property described as 6-C-1, City Block 57, City of Nacogdoches,
Nacogdoches County, Texas located south of the 2300 Block of Stewart Street. (City Secretary)

C. Consider approval of a final change order for the Safe Routes to Schools Sidewalk Project. (City Engineer)

D. Consider award of bid to replace carpeting at the Judy B. McDonald Public Library. (Library Director)

E. Consider amending Energy Management Agreement to terminate on April 30, 2014. (City Manager)

F. Consider abandonment, vacation and quit claim of the eastern portion of Graham Street. (City Attorney)

G. Consider allowing overnight “camping” in Festival Plaza for the cook teams that are part of the annual
Juneteenth Celebration per section 86-27 of the City of Nacogdoches Code of Ordinance. (Main Street
Manager)

REGULAR AGENDA:

6. Consider a request by Nacogdoches County to waive inspection permit fees for the Technical Training Center.
(Fire Chief)

7. Consider ordinance amending outdoor burning regulations. (City Attorney/Fire Chief)

8. Consider acceptance of Change Order 2 for FCS Construction for the construction of Block O, Cells 1 & 3 at the
City of Nacogdoches Solid Waste Disposal Landfill and approve budget amendment. (City Engineer)

9. Consider Resolution supporting the 2012 Editions of the Water Conservation Plans for Municipal and Wholesale
Suppliers. (City Engineer)

10. Consider contract with Curtis Architecture for restoration of Zion Hill Baptist Church. (Community Services
Director)
