Along with Angel Mary and the Tennessee Werewolves,
Raelyn Nelson and Blue Mother Tupelo January 18, 2014
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (January 8, 2014) – Few artists have the privilege of being produced by Grammy-Award winner John Carter Cash. Even fewer have the chance to perform alongside him. Country Blues artist, Kasey Lansdale, can boast of both. This new year, Nashville concert-goers have the opportunity to see her perform live alongside her producer, John Carter Cash, at The Rutledge on Saturday, January 18, as she officially kicks off her “Restless Roadtrip” tour. The Southern Blues infused line-up also features Angel Mary & the Tennessee Werewolves, who Cash also produced; Raelyn Nelson, the granddaughter of Outlaw Country legend Willie Nelson; and Blue Mother Tupelo. This new generation of talent puts their own unique twist on a classic Country family tradition and is sure to bring an iconic, action-packed performance that fans will want to put on your list of things to do this new year. Admission is $10 at the door. Show starts at 7:30 p.m.
Lansdale’s performance will feature songs off her recently released album, “Restless,” which was produced by John Carter Cash in the Cash Cabin Studio. Released in August of 2013, the album features 11 tracks that showcase her smokey Tanya Tucker-esque twang in self-penned songs like “Sorry Ain’t Enough” and “Blame You For Trying.”
“As a vocalist, she walks the line between traditional and contemporary sounds throughout, with the passion oozing out of tracks such as ‘Blame You For Trying’ and ‘Just Another Day’ being a great example of the former,” said seasoned music writer, Chuck Dauphin, in Music News Nashville of the album.
The “Restless Roadtrip” national tour will serve as a follow up to her debut studio album with stops ranging from coast to coast and new dates being added regularly.
