December 11: NPD Crime Report

This is a complete list of reports responded to by the Nacogdoches Police Department

IN RE: P13-21836- Identity Theft- Officers had been alerted several days ago of two suspect vehicles that were purchasing large amounts of fuel using stolen credit card numbers. Last night, shortly before 10:00 pm, an off duty Nacogdoches police officer was purchasing fuel at the Chevron in the 400 block of West Main in his personal vehicle. The officer recognized a vehicle matching the description of one of the vehicles pull into the business. NPD was alerted and while investigating the incident, the other suspect vehicle passed by. Officers stopped that vehicle and the investigation continued. Officers arrested four suspects and charged them all with felony engaging in organized criminal activity. They arrested are:

Tomas Miranda-Gonzales, age 56
Tomas Miranda-Mendez, age 24
Luis Ortiz-Miranda, age 26
Johanner Laurence-Miranda, age 34

All of the suspects give Houston, Texas addresses. The case is still under investigation.
