SFA School of Art to screen Hoffman-directed “Quartet”

The Stephen F. Austin State University School of Art and Friends of the Visual Arts will present a free, one-night screening of “Quartet” at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 4, in The Cole Art Center @ The Old Opera House in downtown Nacogdoches.

The Dustin Hoffman-directed comedy stars Maggie Smith, Billy Connolly, Michael Gambon and Pauline Collins as aging British opera stars who come together annually for a reunion concert. The script was written by Ronald Harwood.

“Quartet” is Hoffman’s directorial debut and was released Jan. 11, 2013. This screening is part of the School of Art’s monthly Friday Night Film Series and is sponsored in part by the Nacogdoches Junior Forum.
