Chamber “totally” reaches out to businesses

Chamber Chair Angela Wiederhold announces Lee Smith, Axley & Rode, as chairman of the Nacogdoches County Chamber of Commerce 4th Annual Total Resource Campaign (TRC).

Scarlett Sloane, Smith & Partners Financial Services, holds the Chamber Total Resource Campaign Championship Trophy. Sloane was named top TRC volunteer with the most amount in sales in the 2012 campaign.

The revenue generating effort kicks off on Sept. 17 to reach a goal of increasing sponsor participation in chamber programs and ends Nov. 7. The TRC will create teams of volunteers under the leadership of Vice Chairs: Greg Dinan, Tipton Ford; Veronica Ellison, Etech; Clay Farell, NacogdochesMedicalCenter; Grace Handler, Handler Insurance; Rusty Rust, CBTx; and Scarlett Sloane, Smith & Partners Financial Services.

“The Total Resource Campaign is designed to grow local businesses while expanding the chamber’s reach,” said Wiederhold. “Dedicated volunteers show committed chamber members how to make the most of their membership by maximizing both their company’s participation and the Chamber’s effectiveness.”

If you are interested in participating in the campaign or sponsoring a Chamber program, please contact a TRC Vice Chair listed above or Kelly Daniel at the Chamber.

“The TRC is an extremely beneficial effort by volunteers to expand the opportunities for all Chamber members to be plugged into the Chamber’s network,” Wiederhold said.

All campaign volunteers can look forward to the Kick Off Celebration sponsored by Tipton Ford set for 7:30 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 17 – location to be determined.
