Color Up 5K Announces Race in Nacogdoches

Nacogdoches runners are gearing up for a color party of epic proportion, as they participate in Color Up 5K!
Color Up 5K, Nacogdoches on Saturday, October 5th begins with an incredible start line under the towering pecan trees at scenic Pecan Acres Park. Run through 5 crazy color zones, historic Nacogdoches, and get Purple Hazed on the beautiful Stephen F. Austin campus. Experience color bombs and painters before you finish your 5K along LaNana Creek Trail. The color is officially FDA approved colored cornstarch, and unofficially magic pixie dust.
Participants of all ages are welcome to run or walk. Children in strollers are free. Registration for the race is available at colorup5k.com and is currently underway.
More Color Party and less Run, the Color Up 5K runs are a celebration of color, music, and good times with 3 to 5 color stations on each 5K course. After completing the 3.1-mile race, the Color Party really heats up as people simultaneously toss bags of color in the air.
“We put the FUN in RUN” said Color Up’s Mike Hanik. Our mission is to inspire families and individuals to live healthy lifestyles and celebrate running. Nacogdoches is a great city and we have mapped out a beautiful 5K route through Pecan Acres Park and the Stephen F. Austin campus.
