Three juveniles arrested

Three Juveniles have been taken into custody by the Nacogdoches County Sheriff Office after several burglaries were committed. Sheriff Jason Bridges stated that deputies responded to Shinn Road to investigate a burglary of a residence. Upon arrival at the residence, Deputies conducted an investigation into the burglary. Deputies spoke with several neighbors and found evidence at the scene of the crime that was linked to three suspects.
Deputies began speaking with the juveniles who confessed to committing the crimes. Deputies were able to identify two more residence’s that were vacant in the area that had also been burglarized. Sheriff Jason Bridges stated that all property that had been taken was recovered, but there was several thousand dollars worth of damage done to the inside of one of the houses during the burglary.
The three juveniles, ages range from 15 to 17 years of old were arrested and charged with three counts of burglary. They were transported to the Juvenile Detention Center by Sheriff Deputies.
Sheriff Jason Bridges stated that more arrests are pending with other ongoing burglary investigations in the county. We have had several ongoing burglary investigations that occurred in 2012 that we have made a lot of progress on. Bridges stated that several thousand dollars worth of equipment and guns have been recovered so far. These burglaries have been a top priority for our administration since taking over January 1, 2013.
