Five grams of methamphetamine discovered during traffic stop

The Nacogdoches County Sheriff Office has seized 5 grams of methamphetamine that resulted from a traffic stop. Sheriff Jason Bridges stated that Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a Chevrolet pickup truck around 12:10 am on highway 259 at loop 204. The driver of the vehicle was initially arrested on traffic charges and transported to the Nacogdoches County Jail. At the jail it was discovered that the driver, Marcus Burdette was in possession of methamphetamine on his person.

Burdette 54 years of age from Nacogdoches, Texas was booked in the Nacogdoches county jail on possession of controlled substance, 3rd felony and traffic charges.
