Fall is in the air this weekend at the Nacogdoches Farmer’s Market

Join us this Saturday for a variety of handcrafted wood products, sweet potato pies, pumpkin bread, organic pastured whole frozen chicken, ribbon cane syrup, peanuts and so much more!

The American Legion’s, Taqueria San Juan, and Mario Raspberry will all be on site serving delicious breakfast and lunch.

Other things you might find this time of year: baked goods, breads, cakes, mini cheesecakes, organic chicken, cookies, fried pies & pies), candles, canned goods (jams & jellies, marmalades, preserves, chow-chow, pickled vegetables, salsas & relishes), artisan Texas cheese, fresh ground cornmeal, free-range eggs, organic tilapia fish filets, local raw honey, jewelry, plants (cacti, bedding plants, house plants, fruit trees, trees & whips), smoothies, soaps (lye and herbal), ribbon cane syrup, tamales, vinegars, fruit wines and wood products. LOCAL PRODUCE: frozen shelled beans (butter & baby Lima), cantaloupes (Israely & regular), cucumbers, eggplants (5 kinds), greens (mustard & turnip), okra, onions, peanuts, frozen shelled peas (blackeyed, brown Crowder, purple hull & zipper cream), peppers (Anaheim, banana, green Bell, cayenne, red hot cherry, cow horn, habanera, jalapeno & serrano), new potatoes, sweet potatoes, pumpkins, squash (butternut, Cushaw, patti pan, pinata, yellow & zucchini) & tomatoes (green & red).

The Nacogdoches Farmers’ Market, located at the “hitch lot” at the corner of West Main and Pearl Streets, is open from 8 a.m. until noon or later every Saturday morning. The market is not currently open on Wednesday’s. If the market parking lot is full, additional parking is available in the Nacogdoches County Courthouse Annex parking lot. Make plans to join us for our Special Edition Farmer’s Market at Memorial Hospital on Wednesday October 3rd from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
